NBC Boston News: MLS® treats a Covid-19 patient effectively
American Journal of Case Reports

A recent case report concerning the use of MLS® Laser Therapy supporting a patient suffering from severe pneumonia caused by COVID-19 reported a significant improvement in some basic parameters (breathing indexes, radiological results, oxygen requirement) for several days and without the need for a breathing ventilator.

Laser scanner configuration while the patient is in the prone position with scapular protraction. The laser scanner was adjusted 20 cm above the skin as per manufacturer’s guidelines. The patient is shown here with his hands under his head for maximum scapular protraction. The red light is the laser machine’s guide beam on the skin. Infrared lasers with wavelengths of 808 and 905 nm are not visible to human eyes. The 2 sources are coupled in a single system, the MLS laser system.
Kolín Hospital (Czech Republic)

“After seeing the remarkable results obtained by our Massachusetts colleagues when using MLS® for treating pneumonia caused by COVID-19 –Lukáš Cibulka, the chief physician, explains – we decided that some of our cases should undergo this therapy: to date, we have treated 26 patients and seen a marked improvement for 24 of these. An evident benefit was also had by patients hospitalised for over a month, who were able to be discharged and to continue with home care after applying the protocol which includes some sessions with MLS®”.

COVID-19 Pneumonia  Preliminary Trial Results

Results of first clinical trial on the  efficacy of MLS® on COVID-19 infection showed improvement on pulmonary indices such as SMART-COP, BCRSS, RALE, and CAP (Community-Acquired Pneumonia questionnaire). MLS®-treated patients showed rapid recovery, did not require ICU admission or mechanical ventilation, and reported no long-term sequelae at 5 months after treatment. Conclusion: MLS® Lasertherapy is a safe and effective potential treatment for COVID-19 pneumonia and improves clinical status in COVID-19 pneumonia.

FAQ'S

FAQ'S

By bringing a focus on laser therapy into your practice you can enhance your approach to pain management. Many clinics set up a dedicated laser treatment room. Most begin with an initial assessment appointment to discuss concerns and to determine if the patient is a suitable candidate for laser therapy. At this point the doctor will determine a treatment protocol (including number of sessions required).
During treatment the patient will either sit or lie down and wear safety glasses to protect your eyes. Treatment times are relatively short and there is no pain and no side effects.
Some advantages for your clinic:

  • Focus on improving patient outcomes.
  • Establish practice at the forefront of technology.
  • Give attention to patient concerns.

What you can offer:

  • Fast pain relief.
  • Accelerate the healing process.
  • The best non-surgical approach to pain management.
  • The best medication-free approach to pain management.
  • The best injection-free approach to pain management.
  • Fast Treatment Times: from 3 to 10 minutes.
  • Reduced Number of Applications: In many patients the benefits are evident from the first application and scientific studies have shown that between the fourth and fifth application the pain subsides by at least 50%, with recovery of joint functions.
  • Synergistic treatment: Simultaneous Action on the triad of Pain, Inflammation and Oedema.
The MLS® Laser has an advanced touch screen user interface that provides guided treatment with animated treatment guides for each procedure.
